Frequently Asked questions

Is there any pain during treatments?

Like with all cosmetic treatments, pain can be a side effect. We  have multiple pain distraction tools to help.

For the more sensitive areas eg lips and full face, numbing cream is applied prior to make treatments more comfortable for you.

Can I have cosmetic treatments whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, we want to keep you and baby safe during this special time. You may begin treatments as soon as you finish breastfeeding.

Are there any side effects and downtime?

Anytime you puncture skin, there is a risk of bleeding, bruising, swelling, infection, pain, redness and bumps.

All treatments come with risks which will be discussed at the consult and time of treatment before proceeding.

Downtime differs dependent on specific treatments..

Can I have treatments when I’m unwell?

No, please get in contact with Sir Aesthetics to reschedule your appointment. We want to avoid spreading any germs and allow you to rest whilst not feeling your best.

Cosmetic treatments will not be as effective if you are unwell.

I can’t find your pricing online anymore, why is this and how do I find out?

Recently our advertising laws have changed by TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) which no longer allows the promotion of some cosmetic procedure pricing online. If you would like a quote on any treatments, please book a consultation to find out more and what treatments can be tailored to your needs.

What are your qualifications?

I am a Registered Nurse (RN) with additional training in Cosmetic Medicine. I have 6 years experience in the medical field and continue to practice to maintain my registration in accordance with AHPRA to maintain patient safety.

AHPRA number: NMW0002251921.

Do I need to speak to a doctor?

For treatments requiring doctor input, one will be made available for a consultation. This is included in the cost of treatment.

I take blood thinners, is it okay to have cosmetic treatments?

Please call or book a consultation to discuss what treatement you are thinking about as blood thinners may be contraindicated.

How can I best prepare for a treatment?

Please come where possible, with no makeup (skincare is appropriate). Have avoided alcohol for 24 hours, ensure you have eaten food and are well hydrated.
